Losing a Loved One

Have you lost a loved one and are now faced with the task of going through all the belongings they left behind? We deeply respect your loss and would be honored to help you find new homes for these items or to assist you in donating them. We understand the significance of these belongings and are here to support you in this journey.  

 

Pricing

Since all organizing projects are not created equal, we create a sliding-scale cost based on the project. These prices range from $70-$130 an hour. This is determined during the consultation and will always be discussed with you before starting a project, ensuring transparency. The cost of bins, dividers, shelves, etc., is also specific to the task and is billed separately. These organizing items are subject to your approval. 

WHAT TO EXPECT

Consultation: We will discuss how to best meet your needs during a home consultation. We understand that each home and situation is unique, and we are here to help with zero judgment. After accessing the spaces you'd like organized, we determine how many sessions we will need to complete the projects. Our sessions typically last 4-5 hours, as decision fatigue tends to set in.

Organizing Sessions: Our protocol: First, we pull everything out, purging the items you no longer want (e.g., clothes with holes or stains, expired foods, rusted items, etc.). This portion is typically done with you as we don't want to eliminate anything you want to keep. From here, we strategize placement, creating zones that lead to better functionality, such as mugs next to a coffee station or all your woodworking items near the power tools. After a sketch is made of where items will go, we send you a list of the necessary items to complete the project (this is up to your discretion). Once everything is organized and all your belongings have new homes, we bring you back in to make any necessary tweaks that are specific to you, ensuring that we get the OK on the entire project before we label anything. This is your opportunity to make sure everything is exactly as you want it. After approval, we tag and label all the categories, which help you find what you're looking for and let you know what you need more or less of. This final step ensures that you can easily maintain the organization we've created for you. Lastly, we tidy things up to get the area picture ready, snap a couple of photos for the gram (with your approval), and leave you to your newly transformed space.

Refresh
Sessions

​Require a refresher? We provide discounted sessions for homes previously organized by Haus Therapy. Refresher services are charged at $35 an hour.
